DANGR is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting new forces in electronic music. With standout performances at EDC Mexico, the release of her latest track "Momentum" on Global Minds Records, and recently opening for the innovative French artist Mezerg, she is carving out her own space in the industry. Her sound is more than just music—it’s an experience, a reflection of her essence, and an invitation for listeners to connect on a deeper emotional level.
We had the chance to speak with DANGR about her journey, creative process, and vision for the future.
1. Every artist has a defining moment. What was yours? When did you realize music was your true calling?
There have been several key moments that led me to this realization. The first one was when I started learning to mix. That’s when I truly felt a shift emotionally—it made me so happy, and I knew this was something I wanted to do.
The second was when I played my first solo event. I remember seeing the flyer and getting excited because it felt like a significant step. That’s when I knew I wanted to be on stage, sharing music with people.
And then, my first festival performance was another defining moment. The energy of the crowd, the connection with the audience—it felt surreal and solidified my path in music.
2. You’ve played at EDC Mexico multiple times—how does it feel to perform in front of such a massive crowd, knowing they’re vibing to your every beat?
It’s an indescribable feeling. Every performance brings new emotions, new levels of excitement. There’s always a mix of nerves, gratitude, and a sense of joy when I see the crowd responding to my music. It’s a connection that’s beyond words.
3. Your new track, "Momentum," dropped on Global Minds Records recently. Can you share the story behind it? What emotions or influences shaped this release?
This track is special to me. It developed gradually, and I took my time working on it because I really wanted every part of it to be perfect. The result is a journey of emotions—it’s not just a song, but an experience that I hope listeners will feel and connect with.

4. Mexico’s electronic scene is buzzing right now. What do you think sets this new generation of artists apart?
The new generation is highly aware of the demand for fresh sounds and immersive, innovative experiences. There’s an understanding that to stand out in a competitive space, we must constantly push the boundaries and offer something new. The desire to innovate is what defines this generation.
5. An artist’s sound is often described as their DNA—unique and always evolving. How would you describe your sound, and where do you see it going?
Looking back, I can see how my sound has evolved from where I started. It’s become more aligned with who I am and what I want to communicate through my music. I want to keep exploring, refining my style, and making my sound more distinct. My goal is to keep evolving, so it’s unmistakably DANGR’s.
6. The music industry can be tough. What has been your biggest challenge so far, and how have you turned it into a lesson?
One of my biggest challenges has been finding ways to keep my project unique and fresh in an industry full of talent. Staying innovative and not resting on past successes is a constant challenge.
Being a woman in the industry also presents its own set of challenges. But it’s empowering to represent women in electronic music. Facing these challenges has only strengthened my resolve to continue pursuing my goals.
7. Beyond music, every artist carries a message. What do you want people to feel when they listen to your tracks?
I want my music to offer a piece of myself to my listeners. It’s a way for me to connect emotionally with them, so they can feel what I feel and understand me without words. My goal is for us to share that emotional moment together.
8. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?
It’s difficult to pick just one, but Gruuve is an artist I would love to collaborate with. His sound really resonates with mine, and I admire his work. I think a collaboration between us would produce something truly unique and exciting.
9. What’s next for DANGR? What’s on the horizon, and what sounds are you currently exploring?
Right now, I’m focused on creating more music. I’ve got new releases coming up this year, and I’m excited about the direction my sound is taking. There are also more gigs lined up where I can share my music with my audience. The future is full of opportunities, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.
10. Finally, if someone is listening to your music for the first time, what would you say to them before they hit play?
I’d tell them to let go and enjoy the experience. My music comes from a place of love and passion, and I hope they can connect with it the way I do.
